The CNMC, spanish regulator, MEDREG\u00a0renewable energy sources working group\u00a0co-Chair and member of MEDREG<\/a> (Mediterranean Energy Regulators) welcomed this workshop “Deploying renewable energy sources and energy efficiency measures in the Mediterranean: State of play and way forward”<\/strong>. <\/em>All day long the regional organization’s representatives MEDENER<\/a>\u00a0(Association of national agencies), OME<\/a>\u00a0(the Observatoire M\u00e9diterran\u00e9en de l\u2019Energie), and RES4MED<\/a> (Association for renewable energy) have discussed their view and project with MEDREG to promote the integration of renewable energy in the grib and the development of energy efficiency measures in the Mediterranean region.<\/p>\n

Mr. Manuel Sainz Andr\u00e9s from IDAE (Institut for\u00a0the Diversification and Saving of Energy, spain), representative of MEDENER recalled the importance of the association and of its commitment to strenghten the euro-Mediterranean cooperation in order to achieve in particular, the goals of the scenario by 2040<\/strong> (energy mix of 27% renewable\u00a0energy and 30% reduction in energy demand compared to a standard conservative scenario) developed in partnership with OME.<\/p>\n
