{"id":2345,"date":"2019-02-13T17:28:12","date_gmt":"2019-02-13T16:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.medener.org\/?p=2345"},"modified":"2019-02-13T18:25:17","modified_gmt":"2019-02-13T17:25:17","slug":"enea-and-cres-supporting-the-aprue-with-a-view-to-improving-energy-efficiency-and-developing-renewable-energy-sources-in-algeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.medener.org\/en\/enea-and-cres-supporting-the-aprue-with-a-view-to-improving-energy-efficiency-and-developing-renewable-energy-sources-in-algeria\/","title":{"rendered":"ENEA and CRES supporting the APRUE with a view to improving energy efficiency and developing renewable energy sources in Algeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Overcoming 15 competing responses to a European call for proposals issued in 2017, a consortium comprising Italy\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medener.org\/en\/membre\/enea-italie\/\">ENEA<\/a>, the Greek agency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medener.org\/en\/membre\/cres-greece\/\">CRES<\/a> and the Austrian and Belgian consultancy firms Allplan and IBF signed a technical assistance agreement on 10<sup>th<\/sup> January, 2019, to boost energy efficiency and develop renewable energy sources in Algeria.<\/p>\n<p>Under the three-year agreement, which has a budget of \u20ac8.2M, ENEA will be transferring its skills and know-how \u2013 through technical training and specialist software- in order to promote the development of small-scale, decentralized electricity production in Algeria.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Energy efficiency is another priority area, whether for new buildings and their thermal insulation properties or for the renovation of existing buildings,\u201d points out Dario Chello, head of the European Union and International Organizations department at ENEA.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the consortium aims to put in place a labelling system for electrical appliances and an energy certification for buildings and materials with high energy-consumption characteristics.
