Jordan’s NERC (part of the Royal Scientific Society), Finland’s Karelia University of Applied Sciences (with its Finpetra low-carbon future network) and Business Finland, organized the first Finno-Jordanian conference on renewable energy at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Amman in October, 2018. Taking place under the theme “Prospects of renewable energy investments in Jordan”, the event brought together fifteen or so representatives from companies and the Finnish academic world intent on fostering the creation of joint initiatives for business, research and innovation. Among the attendees were leading stakeholders in the renewable energy sector from both Jordan and Finland.
