MEDENER holds annual meetings bringing together all actors and projects from the northern and southern banks of the Mediterranean. These events make it possible to strengthen synergies and measure progress in the energy transition.

In September 2013, the first annual conference on the energy transition in the Mediterranean was organised in Tunis, Tunisia to take stock of the status quo and explore the region’s goals and outlook.

In April 2014, the second annual conference was held in Marseille (France). It focused on the involvement of the actors of the energy transition in the Mediterranean.

The third conference in April 2015 in Naples, Italy, explored resources and financing to initiate the energy transition process in the Mediterranean.

At the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris (COP21), MEDENER organised and participated in various events to present the climate challenges in the Mediterranean region.

In may 2016, the 4th conference on the energy  transition in the Mediterranean region was held in Algiers, Algeria.
