Algeria is resolutely engaged into a voluntary energy transition process, through the adoption of a Governmental action plan, based on the program of the President of the Republic, which gives an important place to energy transition, considered a necessity and a strategic choice for Algeria.
On the 13th of April, MEDENER together with OME and RES4MED have taken part in the workshop organized by MEDREG, to exchange about the measures to put in place, in particular for the regulators for the promotion of energy efficency and renewable energy in the Mediterranean region.
On February 10, MEDENER, the Mediterranean Association of National Agencies for the development of energy efficiency and renewable energy, organized its General Assembly, at the representative office of its Italian member, ENEA in Brussels.
ADEME and its Moroccan partners have a long tradition of exchanges (over 20 years), with an early focus on access to energy cooperation (with the Renewable Energy Development Centre (CDER) in Morocco) and since 2010 extended to energy efficiency (with the National Agency for the Development of Renewable Energy and energy Efficiency (ADEREE) in Morocco). This agreement is the first renewal of the agreement with ADEREE in April 2010.
